    • My love of foreign languages and my personality.

    • I am also a researcher in translation studies and terminology.
  • Name the one thing that you most enjoy in your translating or interpreting career.
    • Working with texts, fiding the best solution for a particular translation problem.
  • We all have worked on those not-so-perfect assignments. Write about one such assignment that was not ideal and what you learned from it.
    • I have encountered many imperfect assignments. One of the most difficult things is to work with a faulty source text. A number of times, my translations have been much better texts than the STs.
  • If you could go back in time to when you were just starting out as a translator or interpreter, what advice would you give to your younger self?
    • Be patient, learn the language and constantly improve.
  • Name one resource – such as a phone app, CAT tool, website, and so forth – that you find especially helpful in your translating or interpreting work.
    • OmegaT because it allows me to make my own glossaries and it's free.
  • What's the best book you've read this year?
    • Too many to choose from.
